This is the first gazetteer of the State of New Hampshire, and is made up of three parts: a comprehensive geographical and statistical overview of the state, a description of each town, county, and major feature in the state, and a set of tables of distances and town statistics. This volume describes New Hampshire's climate and seasons, canals and turnpikes, monuments, vegetable production and agriculture, domestic and wild animals, government, military strength, religion, customs, institutions, companies, societies, and state prison.
