It consists of six crown octavo size volumes rewritten and re-edited in the '20s to meet the public thirst for knowledge of the war-in a manageable and affordable form. The volumes are entitled: 'The First Phase 1914'(I), 'Extension of the Struggle 1915' (II), 'The Allies at Bay 1916' (III), 'A Year of Attrition 1917' (IV), 'The Year of Victory 1918' (V) and 'The Armistice and After' (VI). Previous owner's stamp, signature on all volumes, otherwise clean.
