He states in the preface that about half of the material in the book originally appeared in various publications over the past several years, although much of it was rewritten. The contents include a history of Pre-Raphaelitism, with sections on such artists as Madox Brown, Rossetti, Holman Hunt, and Millais as well as the "lesser" Pre-Raphaelites. Other chapters are on Amy Levy, Millet Watts, Wilkie Collins, and much more. With numerous full page b&w plates with tissue guards throughout. This is a LIBRARY BINDING, maroon cloth, title stamped in gilt on spine, with handlettered numbers above it. Bookplate on inside cover and paper residue to rear end papers .Interior is clean, very good. Heavy item will require additional postage for International orders.
