Most of the photographs on this site are of the actual book we are offering for sale. We take those pictures ourselves, of the copy on our shelf.
Not every book has a photograph of its own. Where one does not, we may show a stock cover image in its place. Our stock covers come from ISBNdb, and some from Open Library. Any item shown with a stock cover carries this note:

Why that matters
A stock cover shows you the title. It does not show you our copy. The book we are selling may be a different printing or a different binding, and its jacket, boards and condition may not match the picture at all.
So the written description on the item page always takes precedence over the image. If the two disagree, the description is the one that describes what we will ship you. If you are unsure, ask us before you order and we will tell you exactly what we have.
