Sepia illustration of the Earl of Chesterfield on frontispiece with tissue attached. Brown fabric cover boards, slightly discolored with age. Gilt title on spine, still bright. Some fraying to top and bottom of spine. Condition still very good with some foxing within, but doesn't affect text. Original owner's dated (May 5, 1871) signature with address (in pencil) on front flyleaf.
