Covers have some edge wear and staining. In both volumes the front hinge is cracked, as is the rear hinge of volume 2. Bindings are somewhat loose in both volumes. Interior pages have significant foxing throughout, but all text blocks are legible. In volume 1, the first front end page is in rough shape. Numerous gorgeous B&W illustrations present throughout by Darley. This collection of essays and sketches offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of 19th-century American hunting and fishing.
