John Roseboom (1739-1805) was born in Albany, New York, the son of son of Hendrick Myndert Roseboom (1707-1803) and the great grandson of Henderick Roosenboom (d. 1703). He settled early on in Schenectady as a merchant. He was a member of the Committee of Safety, and a Lieutenant in the army of the Revolution. Most descendants listed here lived in New York.
